Consultation at an early stage is critical to Lesterose’s unrivalled reputation for delivering exceptional standards in the provision of a comprehensive masonry package for clients.

Experience has shown time and again that involvement well in advance of the pre-tender stage with PQS, architects and engineers, where appropriate, provides a valuable review of the scope of works which impacts significantly on the ultimate successful completion of the contract.

This preliminary stage is followed up with presentation by Lesterose of a commercial review of the cost plan for confirmation or adjustment as required. Advice is also offered within this commercial review on construction and ‘buildability’ issues.

With Lesterose’s vast experience, it is not uncommon for commercially-based recommendations to be put forward which may impact beneficially on the overall viability of the development programme in terms of cost and completion times.

This consultation is a vital part of the relationship with the main contractor. The project specification required is comprehensive and provides the basis of Lesterose’s own detailed tender, which in turn is considered critical to the ultimate success of the project in terms of budget and deadline.

Experienced labour force

Having successfully secured the contract, Lesterose’s construction teams swing into action.

Comprising a resident project manager; site manager; foreman; and engineers, the construction teams are all highly experienced and direct operatives fully conversant with the stringent codes of working and Health & Safety practice and standards of workmanship demanded by Lesterose.

The emphasis on quality is driven from senior management within the company. The message is reinforced at every stage and the ability to deliver stems from a combination of solid management expertise and the use of an experienced and constant labour force familiar with the proven working practices.

Ongoing project monitoring

Throughout the course of the project a commercial monitoring process is employed to identify, early on, any variations against the programme plan. This is another vital commercial tool to ensure project delivery within timescale and to budget.
